Nance & Underwood Rigging visited European Vendors. Their trip took him to Lankhorst Ropes (WireCo WireGroup) in Rotterdam, Holland, Davit International in Sulingen, Germany, and Global Davit in Bassum, Germany. Nance and Underwood maintains a solid relationship with all of our vendors and suppliers.

2015 Hurricane Season is Here
The June 1 through November 30 2015 Hurricane Season is here again. Nance and Underwood Rigging recommends that all vessels are surveyed prior to the season for insurance records. We further recommend that all mooring lines and docking equipment are inspected for condition and security. Commercial vessels are recommended to survey mooring lines, windlasses and anchoring equipment as soon as possible.
Nance and Underwood has replacements for all mooring lines, chafe gear, long warps and other gear for the storm season. Contact Us for more information or an appointment for a survey.

Taswell 58, "Celebrate"
Nance & Underwood completely re-rigged the standing and running rigging and made new sails for the Taswell 58 sailboat "Celebrate". N&U further supported them on the trip by sending an electric motor for their head furler to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.

Nance and Underwood Installs Yacht Mast with Custom Butt Bar
Nance and Underwood recently installed a large sailing yacht's mast using a Nance & Underwood custom made Butt Bar.
The Butt Bar is used to keep rod rigging from moving in the cups while the mast is in transition from horizontal to vertical (vice-versa). This is critical for large boat mast removal projects. See many more images on the Yacht Gallery Page.

Custom Genoa Turning Blocks for 116' Hood Sailing Yacht
Nance and Underwood constructed out of GRP (as well as Kevlar for structural integrity) these port and starboard bases for the Genoa Sheet Turning Blocks. All Harken equipment was utilized in the project. The captain and crew of this 116 Hood sailing vessel appreciated the design and function of these modifications to facilitate ergonomic sail handling.
